Blundy’s Distribution Limited is an independent family run business with a family history of selling wholesale and retail confectionary. This is what has inspired the owner of Blundy’s Distribution to open ‘The Sweets Shop’ online store.
Operating a wholesale business at the turn of the century George Blundy traded with customers in Medway and Swale supplying many retail outlets with confectionery. These deliveries would have been made by horse and cart on a weekly/fortnightly basis. In 1919 the first petrol driven vehicle was purchased and during the 1920’s the front part of the warehouse building in Milton was converted into a retail shop. This allowed for goods from the wholesale business to be sold directly to the public on the high street. The business was continued by his son, Albert Edward Blundy and the sweets were enjoyed by many generations.
Fast forward to 2022 and the world of wholesale and retail shopping has diversified vastly. Consumers are now looking for stores that offer a variety of good quality products, convenience, safe and secure check-out, and outstanding customer
service.
